Use

The folding system for VECTACO® guardrail can be installed on our whole guardrail range : VS, VA, VAD, VZ, VDE, VDS, VBE, VBA and VAP. In folded position, the system keeps the aesthetics of a building to disappear from the external view of the building. This module can be folded by one person up to 12 m and can therefore ensure the fast safety procedure of the roof during maintenance.

The folding system has been optimized :

  • Joints made from aluminium replace plastic parts
  • The blocking system by slide is replaced by a system type spring handle
  • An innovation : 1 system, 3 positions (folded, intermediate “type demarcation” and straight

Advantages

  • The intermediate position : a novelty of the system. This position makes the area more visible to secure and reduces the risk of tripping during the safety procedure. The guardrail remains invisible from the outside.
  • The folded position : aesthetic and discreet, the railing is no longer visible from the outside
  • The assembly is simple and fast
  • Handrails and knee rails in lengths of 3 m and packaged in bundles of 7 to facilitate their distribution and installation on the roof terrace
  • Available in stock, short lead time
  • Optional folding safety gate system in the corners

Operation

1. Pick up the frames.

2. Push the handle using the ball.

3. Raise the handle at the oblong slot in the upright.

4. Engage the knob in the housing by releasing the handle (the housing is equipped with locking notches), to completely lock the upright, then push the knob outward to the last notch. The system is then fully locked.
